Tell us what you do for a living: Over the past decade, I have worked in multiple areas of the Automotive industry, both in the US and China, mainly focusing on design. I am currently a Design Manager at Fiat Chrysler Automobiles, within the Advanced Color and Materials Studio.

So what do you do on a day to day basis? On an average day, I work with our designers and suppliers to support color and material execution for production. Additionally, I manage a separate team that creates documents illustrating our vehicle interiors for internal and external use.

Who inspires you in the business world? My mother is my biggest inspiration. She is always available for me, my family, and her clients when we need her. She has patience and business savvy that I hope I embody in my life.

What do you love most about your community? I love the variety of events that draw a diverse crowd. I think we have so many unique people and businesses around town that keep us evolving.

When not working we can find you… Traveling, working out, or running around town, checking out new places and trying different restaurants with friends.

What do you love most about the holiday season? Watching the different parts of town decorate their streets and storefronts really gets me into the holiday spirit. The pop-up markets downtown are great and have cute and unique gift ideas!

Now onto style… please give us your head to toe outfit details:

Blazer (shop similar), Zara, black blouse (shop similar), Aritzia, leather leggings (shop similar), Aritzia, black booties, Nine West, eye glasses, See Eyewear, The Canfield watch, Shinola, lariat necklace (shop similar), Madewell, Dani L Designs bracelets, and a few of her own vintage finds.

Three words to describe your style? Minimalistic but trendy and comfortable

One item you can’t leave home without…  My work phone

You’re never fully dressed without … A pair of glasses!

Your “must have” items for winter 2018? A great pair of moto booties and a warm scarf for layering over a sweater.

Who or what inspires your style?  Art and travel. I love picking up cues from different cultures and countries.

Do you have a style icon? Who? I don’t have one style icon but I love Iris Apfel and her iconic glasses. She has such a fun and eclectic style that always makes me smile.

In your opinion how does the fashion industry connect to the auto industry? We take a lot of inspiration from fashion and other design industries when it comes to designing our vehicles color and material direction. Fashion tells a lot about the trends in fabrics, textures, colors, and volumes. We are constantly collecting ideas and imagery from fashion to use in our design ideation.

Where do you enjoy shopping locally? I enjoy checking out the local artists and vendors at the Eastern market.

Your Local Love List:

Where do you enjoy grabbing a quick coffee? Great Lakes Coffee or Cannelle Patisserie.

Your go to for lunch or dinner? A great salad… 7 Greens or a staple like Leo’s Coney Island always hits the spot!

Where do you like to shop? I mix between online and in-store. Anthropologie and Aritzia always have perfect options for work or going out. I also love the shoes at Sundance Shoes and glasses from See Eyewear.

One place you think everyone must check out when visiting Detroit? The Detroit Institute of Arts or the Cranbrook Art Museum!  They always have interesting exhibits that inspire me.
