Spring fashion is on everyone’s radar, and for moms like me, not only are you interested in what the new season will bring for your own style, but for your kids as well! Get ready to start trading in your little girl’s dark and neutral winter outfits for pastels, florals and pretty patterns. But, as we know living here in the Midwest, the weather can be a bit unpredictable around this time of year, so I made sure to incorporate lightweight jackets and cardigans that work well as transitional pieces. Check out how I styled my daughter in a variety of my favorite kid’s spring trends below.
Playful Prints, Patterns and Embroidery
Floral is always a favorite staple print for spring, but I am especially loving the comeback of embroidery in floral patterns. It’s been increasingly popular on certain items such as blouses, dresses, jeans and even shoes. It’s a feminine and elegant touch that I absolutely love.

Faux Fur Lightweight Jackets
Faux fur has been a hot trend this year, and the more vibrant and colorful the better! This trend is particularly popular among little girls because it feels like their favorite stuffed toys. It’s a playful and fun spring essential that can be layered on top of any outfit for chillier spring days.

Flouncy frills are popular this spring. They give a fun and feminine touch to a little girl’s wardrobe. Featured on everything from tops to dresses, jackets, jeans, and even shoes, this girly trend is popping up everywhere this season. I especially love mixing this delicate trend with casual pieces such as sneakers. Sneakers are comfortable and causal for the kids, but add a fashion-forward look when paired with feminine elements.

Trench Coats and Blazers
Spring weather can be a little tricky to navigate when it comes to dressing your kids. While we hope for nice weather, Michigan’s forecast can be unpredictable at times. It’s always good to have a stylish, lightweight jacket on hand that can be thrown on over any look, no matter what Mother Nature brings our way. While trench coats and blazers are hot for spring, I particularly love this camel colored jacket that goes with everything!
