Karleigh was born and raised in Farmington Hills, where her love for writing developed at a young age. After school each day, she’d furiously pen in her journal, filling page after page with anecdotes about time shared with family and friends, short stories about World War II, hopelessly romantic fairy tales and reports from her spy missions on her favorite babysitter, her grandmother. It was no surprise when she chose journalism as her major at Madonna University and made her lifelong dream of becoming a writer come true. Since graduating in May 2015, Karleigh has pursued multiple freelance writing opportunities including The Detroit Jewish News and WeLoveAnnArbor.com/WeLoveDexter.com, in addition to Neighborhood SEEN. She has passions for world travel, shopping, exquisite eats and one-of-a-kind experiences, making writing for a lifestyle publication like SEEN the perfect gig.
