The GMAAN (General Motors African Ancestry Network) 12th annual dinner was held at the Renaissance Center in the Detroit Marriott ballroom Feb. 9.  About 1,200 African-American General Motors employees, guests and community leaders attended the event celebrating Black History Month. Awards were given out at a VIP event prior to the dinner. The keynote speaker was actor and author Hill Harper, who bought the Roasting Plant coffee shop in downtown Detroit last year.
