The Henry Ford Museum in Dearborn is hosting a celebration of patriotism in Greenfield Village 6-10 p.m. July 1, 3 and 4. The evening includes classic American food, decorations and a concert from the Detroit Symphony Orchestra — all topped off with a firework display. The Ann Arbor Summer Festival is back to take over the University of Michigan campus with high energy entertainment until July 4. The festival will feature music, illusionists and theater, as well as movie screenings, cooking demonstrations, vendors and various workshops. Top of the Park series shows are free to the public. The show features performances from The Temptations and The Four Tops, as well as a special appearance by The Stylistics. Calling all beer enthusiasts! The Royal Oak Farmers Market will kick off the annual Summer Beer Fest 7:30-10:30 p.m. Saturday, July 14. A selection of spirits from over 50 breweries will be available for sampling and tasting and festival-goers can enjoy live entertainment and games with their drinks. Michigan Glass Project, a nonprofit that supports efforts to restore art programs in Michigan schools and save Michigan hallmarks like the Belle Isle Aquarium, is returning for its 7th annual glass blowing and glass artist festival at the Russel Industrial Center in Detroit. The event runs July 20-22 and features flameworking from professional glass artists, vendors, music and charity auctions. Tickets are $15 for a day pass or $30 for a weekend pass. On Sunday, July 22, Christmas comes early to the Royal Oak Detroit Elks Lodge. At the Christmas In July Craft and Vendor Show 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., more than 25 local, women-owned businesses will sell their wares. Prizes will be awarded in raffles and admission is free.

The event is free.
